The Preliminary Round matches of the EuroLeague are going ahead with big step. After a break of only ten days the matches of game day 5 will already be held this weekend, and there will be some match balls for the quarter-final berths. One of the top clashes will already be held tomorrow at noon when Spanish series champin champion CN Atlètic Barceloneta is facing Croatian powerhouse HAVK Mladost Zagreb in the head-to-head duel for the second place in Group A. The Spaniards surprisingly lost their away match at Novi Sad, Serbia so that Mladost got back in the race.

One oft the top matches will be the Adriatic clash in Group B between the reigning title-holders of VK Primorac Kotor from Montenegro and 2006 winner VK Jug “Croatia Osiguranje” Dubrovnik from Croatia, but both teams are supposed to make it for the top eight. A big match is played in Group C where another team from Montenegro, PVK Budva “M:TEL”, is facing Greek series champion Olympiacos Piraeus.

This weekend´s TV clash to be shown live on Eurosport 2 on Sunday afternoon at 5:15 pm CET will be a match of Group C. Here the new-look team of 2004 winner “T-Mobile” Honvéd Budapest from Hungary will face Serbian powerhouse VK Partizan “Raiffeisen” Belgrade, which is dominating the matches of this pool up to now.
