European Cup waterpolo comes to Siberia – Donk moves to Ede |

The second leg matches of the Women`s LEN Trophy quarter-finals are held this weekend at four different places, including the first European cup match on Asian soil. Here Russian newcomer Ugra Khanty-Mansiysk will play for the first time in their home pool and the chances to advance to the semi-finals are pretty good. In the first match the players form the Siberian town which already hosted the 2009 FINA World Junior Championships gained a 12-10 away victory against their Spanish counterpart CE Mediterrani.
The last Dutch representative in both European Cup competitions, the team of “Widex” GZC Donk Gouda, has to move for their home match, where the winner of the first European Champions Cup competition in 1988 and 1989 the Russian representative Dinamo “Izmailovo” Moscow. The pool at Gouda cannot be used for European Cup matches so that Donk is moving to Ede on Sunday.
