All-Italian clash in LEN Trophy semi-finals |

The upcoming semi-final matches of the Men´s LEN Trophy will see the all-Italian clash between the two former cup winners ”Brixia“ Leonessa Brescia and RN Savona and a duel which has never been played before in the history of waterpolo. In the the second semi-final clash the Montenegrin representative VA Cattaro will face German powerhouse Wasserfreunde Spandau 04. The matches will be held 13-14 February and 6-7 March 2010.
The all-Italian clash will be the duel between the two current leaders of the Serie A1, as both teams beat national champion Pro Recco in the first half of the regular season. Second-ranked Brescia won the LEN Trophy already three times, the current leader Savona twice.
Cattaro and Spandau are playing their first semi-final matches in this competition, but the history of both clubs is completely different. The club of the Kotor-based Montenegrins was founded less than three years ago, while Germany´s 29-time national champion is playing European Cup matches since 1979, but this happened almost every years in Champions Cup and EuroLeague competitions.
