Brescia breaks record with 4th win

AN Brescia clinched its 4th title in this competition (previously called LEN Trophy), a record. Before this season they were tied with Savona (ITA) and Ujpest (HUN) with three trophies apiece but after demolishing Sintez Kazan (RUS) both home and away, the Italians went atop in the all-time ranks.
The second leg was a compulsory event with not too much at stake, as Brescia scored a devastating win a fortnight ago in Kazan (4-11). And just to make the picture clear as early as possible, the hosts staged an outstanding first period, rushing to a 5-1 lead. That did the damage, by the end of the third they were 9-2 up, Sintez could net a couple of consolation goals only in the fourth.
