Thanks to a nice first half Japan were defeated 10-7. Four players, including Izabella Chiappini (pictured), scored 2 goals for the winners. In other results Australia bounced back from a tough win over China on opening day by holding Canada scoreless for 3 quarters in a 2-11 triumph. Top scorers for the Stingers were Hannah Buckling, Bronte Halligan, Rowie Webster and Nicola Zagame who netted a pair of shots each. Hosts USA cruised past China 19-5 after already leading 10-1 at half-time. Maggie Steffens, Kiley Neushul and Mackenzie Fischer scored 3 goals apiece in the win.
