Italy wins Volvo Cup

Italy have won the 10th Volvo Cup. The Italians stayed undefeated in three matches in Györ and closed things off on Tuesday with a dominant 4-14 victory over Spain. Leading scorers for the Alessandro Campagna coached side were centre forward Matteo Aicardi and shooter Stefano Luongo each scoring 3 goals. Especially in the first half Italy was all over Spain allowing just 2 goals while jumping out to a 2-9 half-time score. That proved not the finish at all as Italy marched on to the comfortable 10-goal win confirming their possibilities and strenghths with the 2016 European Championships in Belgrade just days away.
