Russia tops Slovakia in friendly

Russia and Slovakia are finalising their preparation phase for the 2016 European Championships together and on Monday in Nováky played a friendly match in front a capacity crowd. A close match-up saw the Russians coming away with an 11-12 victory, led by Ivan Nagaev and Igor Bychkov who scored 3 goals apiece. A balanced attack of home team Slovakia featured 4 players scoring twice. The teams met again for a friendly match-up on Tuesday with again Russia coming on out on top with a narrow margin: 4-5.
