Partizan, Mladost remain tied for fourth place

The 10th round of the Regional league was played Sunday to conclude another busy weekend in the league giving the teams the chance to all complete having played 9 games so that the table will representative for the first time in several weeks. It revealed no great surprises following the results on Sunday in which Partizan and Mladost remain tied for 4th place each adding 3 points to their total. Partizan, visiting POSK in Split, walked away with a solid 7-14 victory, led by Marko Manojlovic who scored 4 goals. Rivals Mladost had no trouble overcoming Radnicki in Kragujevac: 5-10. The visitors took the lead right from the start and walked away in the third quarter. Marko Valevic and birthday boy centre forward Fran Paskvalin each scored 2 goals to lead Mladost.

Meanwhile defending champions Primorje suffered a surprising 2-0 score after the opening quarter in Novi Sad playing Vojvodina but restored order in the following two sessions keeping the home team scoreless en route to a 6-13 win. Fellow Croatian side Mornar managed to hold off Red Star at home 13-10, with Marino Cagalj going for 4 goals for Mornar, while usual top scorer Aleksandar Andrejevic led Red Star netting 4 as well. The A1 division of the league will already go into a winter stop only to return late January following the European Championships in Belgrade.
