Barceloneta outplays Real Canoe

A midweek round also was played in Spain on Wednesday where the top sides made no mistake. And even more than that as the top 3 gained comfortable wins. For defending champions Barceloneta that maybe was a bit of a surprise as a tough match-up with Real Canoe was expected but instead turned into a dominant performance by the visitors who posted a 6-11 triumph. League leaders Sabadell continued their successful showing so far, this time holding Mediterrani scoreless in the entire first half en route to a 14-7 beating. Mataro Quadis, 3rd ranked, also enjoyed a comfortable round rolling past pointless Sant Feliu in the 2nd quarter of their match-up (4-0) as they paved the way for a 13-6 victory. Closer games were on the menu for Barcelona who consolidated their 4th place on the table nicely by edging Terrassa 7-6. Navarra did the same but in an away game as they gained their 3rd win of the season topping Rubi 7-8 thanks to a nice 2nd-half performance. Sant Andreu did a nice job by beating fellow 8th place contender Catalunya 7-16.
