In a strong performance in the decisive game 5 of the play-offs finals hosting arch rivals Jug the Rijeka based side gained an 11-8 victory and won their third trophy of the season after the national cup and inaugural Regional league earlier. Carried by Sandro Sukno who scored two of his three goals in the opening period Primorje came out firing to take an early 3-0 lead. That proved to be a huge step in the right direction as Jug from the second period onwards did their part but were unable to overcome that early 3-goal deficit. In the third quarter things got even worse as Primorje went on a scoring surge that included 5 goals as the championship looked more or less certain at 9-4 and 10-5 scores deep in the third term. In the fourth quarter the home team mainly focusses on their defence for the first half of the session and that clinched the victory as Jug did managed to reduce the deficit on the hands of Nikola Janovic who scored twice in a row in the final minute but by then the jam packed Katrinda pool in Rijeka was already celebrating a 2nd consecutive national championship for Primorje who will be up for their incredible 4th trophy of the season next week in Barcelona during the Champions League Final Six.
