Budapest 2014 programme finalized

It's here! The programme for the 2014 European Championships in Budapest, Hungary (14-27 July) has been finalized and announced by the hosting Hungarian Federation on Saturday. After negotiations with several tv broadcasters all teams will now know exactly when they will be playing in the group stage. Action in the Hungarian capital will start with the first game of the men's tournament as 2012 Olympic champions Croatia take on Germany. A match-up which at the 2012 edition in Eindhoven, the Netherlands saw the Germans upsetting the later London 2012 gold medalists winning 10-9, also in the preliminary round. All men's games in the prelims will start at 11.30 while the 'women's days' commence at 13.00 hrs local time.
