Jadran Split joins favorites in Croatian Cup Final Four

All favorites will be present at the Croatian Cup Final Four tournament in Zagreb next weekend where two sides will look to upset the pair of final favorites, like last year, defending champs Primorje and arch rivals Jug. The Dubrovnik-based side had to overcome a 2-0 deficit against Mornar in the quarter-finals last weekend but hung on and triumphed 7-9, led by Nikola Janovic' (pictured) three goals. Reigning champs Primorje were not be surprised by any means against Medvescak who were crushed 5-27 in a scoring festival where centre forward Ivan Krapic and shooter Denes Varga scored four goals each. Mladost will join the two favorites next weekend as they were not endangered by Sibenik, held their opponents scoreless for two quarters, to finally win 17-2. The fourth side present in Zagreb will be Jadran Split who ended up victorious in a tense contest against POSK 11-12.
