Orizzonte Catania takes Italian national cup

Orizzonte Catania has retained their women's Italian national cup title on Saturday defeating Rapallo Nuoto 7-8 in a tense final for their second straight 'Coppa Italia' victory in two years. Claudia Marletta scored the winning goal with 3.46 remaining, her second of the game. Catania reached the final by defeating Firenze 6-13 in the semis while Rapallo Nuoto got past Padova 7-9 on Friday. Padova finished the Italian cup Final Four tournament in Ostia in third place beating Firenze 12-9 to capture the Bronze medal.
