Pro Recco head coach Pino Porzio resigns

Giuseppe 'Pino' Porzio has resigned as head coach and CEO of the reigning Champions League title-holders Pro Recco. After seven succesfull years with the Italian powerhouse, Porzio on Wednesday announced he will leave the club. Pino Porzio, since 2005, has won no less than seven league titles, four national cups and three European titles. Finding a replacement will be tough for Pro Recco president Gabriele Volpi. Rumors were already going that Porzio and current Italian national team head coach Alessandro Campagna might trade places after the Olympics while Carlo Silipo, current head coach of Posillipo is being mentioned as well. Meanhwile, on Tuesday Pro Recco announced the appointment of Angiolino Barreca as Vice President of the club.
