Mladost better in shoot-out

The top four teams in Croatia are battling for the Croatian championship. In the playoffs semi-finals, defending champions Jug made a huge step towards the finals defeating Mornar 6-12 in game 1. The big battle though is between top contenders Mladost and Primorje. On Saturday, the first encounter between the two ended up in a penalty shoot-out which Mladost took a little better. Croatia's national team goalkeeper Josip Pavic blocked a five-meter shot from Hungarian international Daniel Varga which ment the 14-13 victory for the home team at Zagreb. Kristijan Milaković had a big part in the win. He strucked twice, first with just 23 seconds remaing in regulation (8-8), and again in overtime to keep his team in the race (9-9). To finish things off, Milaković converted on the final penalty to give Mladost the win.
