Spain powers past Greece

Day 3 of the Kirishi Cup in Russia featured nice wins for Spain, who defeated reigning World champs Greece 12-7, and Team USA, that was responsible for the defeat for the team from The Netherlands. In a low-scoring affair, USA was up in front after the first quarter and secured the lead all the way to the end. Brenda Villa was big scoring four goals for the USA. For Spain, a second nice win in two days was reached beating Greece 12-7. After leading 4-1 after the first quarter, Greece slowly but surely climbed back and trailed just one at the start of the final quarter (8-7). A perfect 4-0 run got the Spaniards the convincing win. Both Roser Tarrago and Jennifer Pareja scored three times for Spain. The final match of the day went on to be a scoring festival as both China and home team Russia ended up netting sixteen goals for the tie.
