Primorje and Pro Recco in Adriatic league final

Home team Primorje EB Rijeka is this year's first Adriatic league Final Four finalist. At their Katrinda home pool, Pimorje gained a big 9-12 win over reigning Croatian champs Jug. The home team got a strong offensive team effort again as Croatian internationals Fran Paskvalin, captain Samir Barac, Spanish international lefthander Xavi Garcia and Hungarian versatile international Denes Varga all scored two goals. The game's high-scorer was Maro Jokovic who netted three for Jug. Pro Recco advanced to the final later that evening beating Mladost Zagreb 12-5. In an impressive defensive game, Mladost was allowed scoring just two goals in the first half and five at all. At the other end, Recco was efficient on offense walking away to the big win. The 2012 Adriatic league winner will be decided on Sunday in Rijeka when the final is scheduled.
