Partizan beats Red Star

Srdjan Tomic - Reigning Serbian national champions and Cup title-holders Partizan Belgrade overcame a challenge from town rivals Red Star 8-6 (0-1, 4-2, 2-1, 2-2) to stay undefeated in the Serbian league after two rounds. The first game of the second round saw a strong start by Red Star (1-3), but the Champions League contenders came back from behind to lead 6-3 and thus secure a three-goal lead during the third quarter. Red Star fought back in front of their come crowd and managed do come back to just a one-goal deficit late in the game but could not score the equalizer as Partizan got the important win.
