World League: Croatia takes first place in Group B

On game day 4 of the FINA Men`s World League World's number thee Croatia gained a 11-6 away victory against Germany and already ensured the first place in group B today. The match was played in front of 600 spectators at a refurbished swimming stadium, formerly known as Dynamo pool, at Magdeburg, Germany. German skipper Marc Politze played his 400th international match and scored two of six goals for the home team.

In the first game between both sides, played at Dubrovnik, Croatia, the home team had taken a 16-15 win after penalties. The 2010 European champions took a little revanche for the recent 10-9 loss against Germany at the 2012 European Championships in Eindhoven, The Netherlands which led to elimination of the title-holder in the group stage. With this victory, Ratko Rudic' squad is qualified for the World League Super Final, which will take place from 12-17 June in the city of Almaty, Kazakhstan.
