(Chris Ducker) City of Manchester claimed the British League’s women’s Super 5s title at Cardiff International Pool on 12 February, edging out great rivals City of Liverpool by virtue of a superior goal difference after the teams finished level on points. The success made up for Manchester’s disappointment in the men’s Super 5s, where they were pushed into second place by Lancaster – also on the basis on goal difference.
In their final matches, Manchester girls defeated West London Penguin 9-4 and Coventry 10-4. For latest results from UK, click on www.bwpl.org.
