The restart of the Spanish League was all about the final spot for the Spanish Cup (Copa del Rey) which will be played from February 17-19 at the pool of Sant Andreu. The top seven of the league + host Sant Andreu will battle for the Cup so there were four teams still in the race for that final spot before last Saturday. With both Navarra and Mediterrani losing their respective matches, C.N. Montjuic benefited with remaining at seventh place although the newly promoted side had to swallow a big 23-7 loss at Real Canoe. The eleventh round saw title-holder Barceloneta easily winnig the derby against C.N. Barcelona, who played with just six senior players due to difficulties with their Chinese internationals returning from the Asia Olympic Qualifying Games, 13-2. Second placed C.N. Sabadell reached a comfortable 7-17 win at Catalunya while third seeded Mataro Quadis noted a 7-19 victory over last placed WP Turia on Sunday.
