China revisited: Changshu to host World League Super Final

The top nations of international women´s waterpolo will go to China again. After last year´s FINA World Championships at Shanghai and the Super Final of the FINA Women´s World League at the new swimming stadium at Tianjing the 2012 edition of the Super Final will be held at the Chinese city of Changshu as the FINA confirmed before the Christmas season. As usual two teams per group will advance to the final tournament to be composed of eight teams.

The Preliminary Round tournaments will be contested on a continental base again. The teams from Asia and Oceania will face each twice at Shanghai and the Japanese city of Chiba. The city from the Tokyo region is already hosting the Asian Olympic Games Qualification Tournaments for men´s and women´s teams earlier this year.
 
The European teams are put in two different groups again. Group A will go the Italian city of Syracuse which hosted already hosted one of last year´s preliminary round events. Group B will be contested at Volos, Greece where the 2011 Men´s U20 World Junior Championships were held. In both cities a double round-robin will be contested.
