Szentesi VK needs extra time - LEN Trophy quarter finals results

Russian top team Khanty Mansiysk is the first LEN Trophy semi-finalist after eliminating Russian opponent Uralochka Zlatoust on Saturday. Spanish shootin star Blanca Gil and Olympiacos joined the Russians winning leg 2 in Italy 5-12 after already having a four goal advantage from leg 1. The other two matches had a lot more tensity. The all-Italian clash between Padova and Imperia - tied at 6 after leg 1 - got down to final phase of leg 2 as Imperia seemed to have already qualified but the home team came close in the final quarter. The match in Hungary between Szentesi VK and Dutch ZVL saw extra time after the teams were tied at 7 after regulation. Although the Dutch lead 2-5 at half time, the Hungarians produced a strong second half and extra time and will continue their quest in the semi-finals.
